Lunchtime Controllers (Nursery and Reception)

Alder Grove Church of England Primary School is a new 420-place primary free school in Shinfield, Wokingham, which will open in September 2020 for Nursery and Reception; initially with one class per year group and the aim of growing year on year up to Year 6.

We are looking for exceptional staff to take up this exciting opportunity in a brand new primary school within The Keys Academy Trust. The school is already built and it is on an amazing site with extensive grounds including playing fields, a garden area, a spacious hall, drama studio and dedicated library and technology areas.

This is a part-time, permanent, term time only role.

Starting date: September 1st 2020
Hours per week:
6.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday – 12pm to 1:15pm)
and
5 hours per week (Monday to Friday – 11:30am to 12:30pm)

Grade 3 SCP 5 -6 FTE £18,795 (subject to pay body review)

The role involves:

The provision of a safe and happy lunch time environment for all staff and pupils. Duties include supervising pupils while they eat their lunch; encouraging healthy choices and ensuring pupils are safe and engaged in purposeful play. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.

The successful applicant should have:
• excellent communication skills with young children
• the ability to work under your own initiative as well as part of an established team
• the ability to organise and teach children to play games.
• first aid qualification or be willing to undertake first aid training

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and as a team leader
