This academic year NeneGate introduced a creative curriculum for Year 6/7 and 8. A creative curriculum is a perfect way to ensure the pupils have a smooth transitional period from key stage 2 to 3 learning made fun.
In our first term we looked at animals, starting with a trip to Woburn Safari Park. Each subject teacher incorporated animals in to their planning to ensure that objectives were embedded across the curriculum. Through the medium of animals we contemplated our world, which naturally guided the learning towards celebrations incorporating religious education around the world.
We have spent a fascinating term looking at other cultures, celebrating Diwali, making lamps, relishing foods from other cultures and understanding the complexities of farming for our diverse ethnicity that makes Britain great! NeneGate is looking forward to our continued creative journey because no boundaries in education means everyone learns!
