Introduction

NeneGate opened in January 2008. It is a county maintained day school for pupils currently aged between 11 and 16 who have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. (SEBD)

Pupils attend from all over Peterborough.

There are currently places for 48 pupils. The school is set in the heart of Peterborough and local amenities are easily accessible to the children who attend, therefore there are regular off site activities for work experience and class trips.

The school is well equipped. All classrooms are equipped with an interactive whiteboard and computer, and many lessons are taught using this technology. There are also specialist teaching rooms for ICT, Art, Construction, Science and Food Technology. In addition we have a school hall and large gym. The grounds allow for a range of sporting activities and outdoor learning.

All pupils who attend this school have Statements of Special Educational Needs specifying social, emotional and behavioural difficulties as the main category of need.
